about

Inspired by Rorschach imagery and the shadowy, stark world of film noir, the piece offers a study in contrast, both visual and emotional. This piece was premiered at Z Space in San Francisco for RAWdance's 10th anniversary Summer Season on July 25-27, 2014.

"Joel St. Julien’s minimalist score – of cosmic waves, urban rumblings, and tinkerings on a piano...created a sense of mystery and urgency."
- Ballet to the People
